We wanted to remain very authentic to the island - respecting the traditional ways of building and materials. We worked with local builders and artisans who painted the retained stone walls in chalk and reintroduced timber beams on ceilings.
After first falling for the authenticity and craftsmanship of the island two decades ago, we took a leap of faith and decided to restore an old UNESCO-protected fisherman’s cottage.
