ABOUT THE AUDIO RUG
Inspired by Chladni patterns, the central design illustrates how sound and sand create patterns on vibrating surfaces. The navy surround echoes the fluidity of sound, in abstract moiré — capturing the undulating motion of wavefronts.
Woven by artisans in India, the process of creation preserves the local communities’ weaving heritage, is environmentally and sustainably conscious. Handcrafted from luxurious New Zealand wool with delicate accents of bamboo silk for a soft, silk-like sheen, the Audio Rug embodies meaningful craftsmanship.
Rendered in rich tones, the design creates a mesmerising sense of rhythm and movement, grounding a space in both place, texture and tone.
